There are many ways you can get involved with Friends of the Tenth and help preserve the memory of the 10th Battalion Parachute Regiment. Whether it’s by donating to our cause, sponsoring a name, a school hoping to help, or getting involved in a fundraising event in your local community, your support will allow us to build and erect a commemorative sculpture to the lasting memory of Somerby’s association with the Battalion.
This statue will stand as a testament to the bravery of the Battalion; reminding local communities and visitors to the area for years to come of the role of the 10th Parachute Battalion during WW2 and beyond, as well as the need to build and look to the future whilst honouring the sacrifices of the past.
